General (ret.) Daniel Petrescu
PwC Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is honoured to have General (ret.) Daniel Petrescu join its Defence & Aerospace Advisory Team as Senior Strategic Advisor.
General Petrescu brings 38 years of leadership experience with the Romanian Armed Forces, which included his senior role as Chief of Defence Staff from 2019 to 2023. He has extensive leadership experience within European Union defence and security institutions and NATO.
General Petrescu also has a broad operational background, having been deployed in diverse theatres such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Angola, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kosovo. He holds a PhD in Military Science and Intelligence and pursued advanced studies at the National Defense University in Washington, DC, as well as King’s College London. Fluent in Romanian and English, with working knowledge of French, his deep experience will help our clients navigate complex international defence environments.
